Not only will it bring good health to you and your baby, it will also ensure a beautiful glow throughout.

b) Music to the ears – One should try and listen to music throughout these nine months as music would not only divert your attention from the discomforts of a changing body, it would also ensure your mood is uplifted on one of those low feeling days. Apart from that, music has calming effect on your body as well as helps in babys’ development. Of course ensure you do not create a rock concert around you – choose your music to soothe your mind and heart.

c) Walk and Talk – Its always good to exercise – pregnant or not. But a good walk in the evening would surely go a long way into keeping you healthy during pregnancy. A 30 minute walk is good enough to pep up your mood and also your muscles. Besides, you can catch up with your friends for a small chat on your way. Good strength gained by pelvic muscles by a good walk would surely be a boon at the end of it. Do ensure, though, that first 3 months are crucial and you should consult your physician before you begin any form of exercise.

d) Leisure Galore – Pursue your favourite leisure activities like reading books, paintings etc. This would not only engage your mind creatively, it will also be somewhere inherited by your baby in some way or other (as is the common belief!). Apart from that, you never know, you may come across a great book or paint a masterpiece right during this period!

e) Rest Assured – No harm in resting anytime during this period – any rest would only help your body cope with the changes happening within. Especially the last month should be a good mix of resting and work as you finally prepare to step into motherhood and the huge lifestyle change that is coming your way!

Though every pregnancy is different and brings along entirely different set of symptoms, one can at least try and keep healthy and happy throughout by following some of the above tips. Take this change as a boon of your life and maintain a happy pregnancy for a healthy and happy baby – your precious bundle of joy!
